This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application Thai Lottery Result ("Application", "we", "us") handles your information. The Application lets you view Thai Government Lottery results, browse past draws by year, save the numbers you hold, and check them against any draw — by typing them in or by scanning the QR code on a ticket.
1. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or sell personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise location. The Application has no account system and no server operated by us that holds user data.
The Application needs an internet connection to run: results are fetched live, so there is no offline mode. It also uses the third-party services described in section 6, which receive technical information such as device identifiers in order to deliver adverts and notifications.
2. Data Stored On Your Device
So the Application opens quickly and remembers how you like it, the following is saved on your device only:
- Your language preference — English, Myanmar, or Thai.
- Your appearance preference — system, light, or dark.
- Numbers you save in "My Numbers" — each number, how many tickets of it you hold, and the draw it is for. These are kept as your own record of past draws until you delete them.
- A cached copy of lottery results — the latest draw, the draw index, and any year you have opened, together with a version marker used to tell when fresher data is available.
- Basic app state — such as when an advert was last shown so you are not shown one repeatedly, and whether you have already been asked about notifications so you are not asked twice.
This information never leaves your device. We cannot see your saved numbers. Uninstalling the Application, or clearing its data from your device settings, permanently erases all of it.
3. Ticket Numbers You Enter
Ticket checking runs entirely on your device. Numbers you type or scan are compared against the lottery results already downloaded to your phone and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Numbers are kept only where you asked us to keep them — in "My Numbers" — and are deleted when you remove them.
4. Camera and Ticket Scanning
The Application can read the QR code printed on a lottery ticket so you do not have to type the number. Camera access is requested only when you open the scanner, and you can decline it and continue to enter numbers by hand.
The camera feed is processed on your device purely to decode the QR code. No photo or video is recorded, stored, or uploaded, and the camera is not used anywhere else in the Application.
5. Notifications
The Application can send you a notification when a new draw has been announced. Permission is asked for once, after the app is open and working, and you are free to decline — everything else continues to work either way.
To deliver a notification, your device registers with the push services described in section 6. That registration gives them a push token, which identifies your device as a delivery address. It is not linked to a name or an account, because the Application has neither.
The language you have chosen is attached to your registration, so that an announcement can be sent in English, Myanmar or Thai rather than the wrong one. No lottery numbers, saved or otherwise, are ever sent with it.
You can turn notifications off at any time from Settings inside the Application, or from your device's notification settings for this app.
6. Third-Party Services
The Application relies on the following third parties. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:
GitHub Pages
Lottery results are published as static files on GitHub Pages, and the Application downloads them directly. As with visiting any website, GitHub may record technical request information such as your IP address and device type. We receive no part of these logs. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Google AdMob
The Application shows adverts supplied by Google AdMob to fund continued development. You may see a banner at the bottom of the screen, an advert in the draw history list, and an occasional full-screen advert when opening the app.
To serve these, AdMob may collect and use data such as device identifiers (including the Advertising ID), cookies, general location inferred from your IP address, and app usage information, in order to deliver personalized or non-personalized adverts and to measure their performance. This happens between your device and Google; we do not receive it. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings. See Google Advertising Policies.
OneSignal
Notifications are sent through OneSignal. When your device registers, OneSignal receives a push token along with technical details such as device model, operating system version, language, time zone and the country inferred from your IP address, and assigns your device an identifier of its own. This is used to deliver notifications and to see how many were delivered. See the OneSignal Privacy Policy.
Google Firebase Cloud Messaging
On Android, notifications reach your device over Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google's delivery service. Your device registers with Google to receive them, which involves a device registration token. The Application uses Firebase only as this delivery channel — it does not use Firebase analytics, and no lottery numbers or personal details are sent through it. See the Firebase Privacy and Security information.
7. Source of Lottery Results
Results shown in the Application are compiled from publicly published Thai lottery result listings. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government Lottery Office (GLO) of Thailand. Results are provided for informational convenience only and may contain errors or delays — always confirm any win against the official announcement before acting on it.
8. Children's Privacy
The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
9. Your Choices
- Reset or opt out of ad personalization using the Advertising ID controls in your device settings.
- Decline camera access and enter your numbers by hand; the scanner is optional.
- Turn notifications off in the Application's Settings, or in your device's settings for this app.
- Delete any saved number, or clear a whole draw, from the "My Numbers" screen.
- Clear everything the Application has stored by clearing its data or uninstalling it.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes take effect as soon as the revised policy is posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised accordingly. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
