Last Updated: September 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Expense Ledger ("Application", "we", "our", or "us") handles your information. We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal financial information.

100% Offline-First Philosophy: Your financial records, account balances, transaction history, receipts, and personal data are stored entirely locally on your own device. We do not operate cloud servers to harvest or store your private ledger data.

1. Information We Collect and Store

A. Local Financial Data (Stored on Your Device)

All data entered into the Application is saved locally in a secure SQLite database on your device, including:

We do not collect, view, transmit, or share this data with any third party.

B. Biometric & Security Data

If you enable App Lock (Biometrics/PIN), authentication is handled entirely by your operating system’s secure hardware (Android BiometricPrompt / iOS LocalAuthentication). The Application does not access or store your raw fingerprint or facial scan data.

C. Backup Files

When you export a backup (.zip, CSV, or PDF), the file is saved directly to your device storage or shared via your system's share sheet. You have full custody and control over your backup files.

2. Third-Party Services & Analytics

To support free development and monitor app stability, the Application integrates trusted third-party SDKs that may collect anonymous technical information:

Google AdMob

We display ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), general device data, and network information to serve contextual or personalized advertisements and prevent fraud.

Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to monitor application crashes and runtime bugs. In the event of a crash, diagnostic information (such as device model, OS version, stack trace, and state at crash time) is automatically collected to help us diagnose and fix issues promptly. This diagnostic data does not contain your personal financial records.
